Rod Buckle Watercolours captures life's important moments!

Introduction

I create fresh, vibrant images that capture the essence of my subjects, from local coastal scenes to atmospheric pictures of life on this spectacular coast.

My Work

All my paintings are original creations. I refuse to produce prints, key rings ,tea towels ,greetings cards etc. When you buy one of my paintings you get an original that you will never see again.

Approach

I approach my work with a unique perspective that takes into account your needs and your individual style. My style and technique are broad and flexible, developed over years of training and experience. Please contact me to discuss any commissions which are undertaken on a no risk basis. I will present an original work based on your request and you are free to decline the original at any stage.

Testimonials

I just thought I’d e-mail you regarding a picture of the beach and Brigg we bought last week, from that little shop opposite Filey Tourist Information Centre – sorry, but this shop doesn’t seem to have a name!
Having recently just bought a house in Hunmanby, returning to the village after spending some of my childhood there, we were looking for some original, local paintings with which to adorn the walls. We saw so many we liked – it was a little difficult to choose only one – so will be back for more!
It has pride of place in the new dining room – its many different colours and shades competing for supremacy at different points in the day, depending on the light quality – we love it!
Thank-you for such an original, beautiful, framed and mounted piece at such a realistic, accessible price. I will keep my eye out to see if any appear of Hunmanby Gap (not quite as inspiring I know!) – but this where my brother and I spent many a summer’s day as children.

I walked in, saw it and was really disappointed to see it had been reserved until it dawned on me that I was the one for whom it was intended!! Weird I know – but, as a result, your painting is now even more cherished in its new home.

I can’t thank Rod enough for taking the time to do this interview and for sharing his lovely work with all of us here on theFr web. Traveling to Scarborough, England - solely due to Rod’s paintings - is now on my to do list.
Watch out for updates on Rods wonderful work in our Christmas edition.
